I strive to help clients attain their goals and achieve higher levels of well-being and satisfaction. By partnering with clients to understand their needs, I tailor approaches and interventions that optimize both flourishing and effective problem solving.
My services include therapy and comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations, as well as well-being training at the institutional level.
My clinical work provides the highest quality interventions and assessments tailored to meet the specific needs of individual clients. I partner with clients to choose the most effective interventions in order to achieve maximum satisfaction and the best progress. Within the context of an accepting and positive atmosphere, I help all people to feel comfortable and respected.
In assessments, I provide comprehensive psychological, neuropsychological and psychoeducational evaluations tailored to meet the objectives being sought. I have also developed a best practice model for highly efficient targeted ADHD assessments.
I educate and train professionals, teachers, parents and institutions about how to foster well-being on a larger level through presentations, publications and teaching professional development courses, as well as by training psychologists and psychology graduate students and leading teams of psychologists and social workers.
I received a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology of Yeshiva University. I went on to do an adult clinical internship at Mount Sinai - St. Luke’s/Roosevelt Hospital where I also went on to complete a fellowship in pediatric disabilities, served as a supervising psychologist and co-directed the Behavior Disorders Clinic at the Pediatric Disabilities Center. For the past 25+ years, I have maintained a private clinical practice providing psychotherapy and evaluations for children, adolescents and adults – ranging from anxiety, depression, ADHD, learning issues and relationships to CBIT - a highly specialized treatment for tic disorders. I am also the director of psychologists for the Scarsdale Schools where I lead evidence-based initiatives to foster well-being and achievement at the individual and institutional level via system planning, research, professional development training, and intervention with students, staff and families.
I enjoy traveling the world to present in my special areas of interest and expertise - positive psychology, positive psychotherapy and positive education, which are strengths based approach to promote well-being and achievement, at both the individual and institutional level. Some recent involvement and accomplishments include: podium presenter: Integrating Positive Psychotherapy with CBT in Established Clinical Practice (International Positive Psychology Association - Vancouver, 2023), podium presenter and winner-finalist, Clinical Case Challenge - International Positive Psychology Association (Australia, 2019); podium presenter at International Conference on Well-Being in Education Systems (Switzerland, 2017).
